I'm PREGNANT!...Kinda
I started up my first week of at home MTC! To sum it up in two words I would say exhausting, but also amazing! This has been a tiring week, getting up early, going to bed early, while also struggling to fall asleep has been challenging. But, everyday, I feel like the spirit is giving me energy to get through my days. I have learned so much this week. I have also learned that I have a 5th wisdom tooth and I didn't even know that was possible lol. I got my wisdom teeth out two weeks ago but I started to have soreness again. I got a panorama of my mouth and they say I have a baby wisdom tooth stuck way up in my gums. This was nerve racking because I found out the day before I'm supposed to leave that I might need to get surgery! Thankfully, I do not have to get it out and this will not keep me from leaving on my mission at the scheduled time. I see this as a huge blessing. My MTC district is awesome and sent me a video while I was missing class to get checked out showing their support and love.
Just from this first week, I can say I have never felt the spirit so strong and so consistently than in any other time of my life. I know that the Lord is blessing me through the MTC experience and knows my fears. For example, I found out really quickly that I was not good at all at teaching on the spot. I could not role play for more than 30 seconds before I had to restart because I would mess up. I went to bed that night feeling very defeated and I had expressed this to God. The very next day I was able to teach a lesson and testify of Christ for 5 minutes straight or as long as they would require me to for the sake of the lesson. I know that God has helped me to gain this skill and that the spirit is putting words and thoughts into my mind when I teach.
From this week, I can know that I have a testimony of this Gospel and that Jesus is my savior. I can also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. I am so grateful for this home MTC experience and I am so ready to go out and be a missionary in person to the people of Sacramento!
Sincerely,
Elder Rosenlund
In this video, my MTC teacher and all the people in my district sent me a video wishing me luck and telling me they are thinking of me. W district for sure! For some reason they thought I was getting my wisdom tooth removed. I still haven't told them I did not have to, hopefully they read this, if not I will tell them later I guess and extra prayers from them wont hurt :)
