Panini's, Liberals, And Miracles!!

This week was an awesome week! I saw so many miracles happen. Definitely the most hype week of the mission so far.

 To start off, I'll talk about the paninis. I ate paninis for lunch every single day this week. My companion has a panini maker, and we eat them daily. They're so good! 

I also got to meet some liberals. I had dinner at a member's house, and they invited two non-members to dinner to eat with us. They were super nice, but I found out quickly how liberal they were. If you don't know this, I'm a very political person and outspoken about it. This mission is testing my patience and ability to keep my mouth shut. They were talking crap about my homeboy Donald Trump. They were also talking about how an embryo is not a human life form because you can freeze an embryo, but not a baby. Therefore, that justifies abortion. Craziest logic I've ever heard in my life. It took every muscle in my body to keep my mouth shut! Anyways, they're still God's children, and I love them anyway.

But as far as miracles go, THEY HAPPENED THIS WEEK! My companion and I have had trouble seeing success our first two weeks. We haven't been able to find anyone to teach or even talk to about the gospel who won't shut the door or walk away from us. Everyone up here is LDS, was LDS, or served a mission already and then fell away. My companion and I decided we needed to make goals. We decided we wanted to be "Bold Missionaries". Meaning, we weren't afraid to ask the hard questions to people and share our purpose as missionaries up front. As soon as we did this, we found three new people to teach, got three people to come to church on Sunday, and had one person put on a soft date to work towards getting baptized. Also, we got two people baptized this weekend that we've been teaching! Super hype week all around, and it couldn't have happened without the Lord's hand.

I've learned a lot this week. I've learned how to be a more effective missionary, how to find more joy in the work, and also more understanding of the scriptures and God's plan for each of us. My testimony in the Book of Mormon and this gospel is growing every day! 

I'm so grateful to be on my mission and for my awesome companion. I'll talk to you all next week! I'll also put a link to my Google photos below, along with my favorite photos from the week.

Shellom y'all, This has propbably been the most busy and chaiotic week of my mission yet. Between training a new elder, managing 20+ people being taught, 40+ potentials who could be taught, two wards I'm brand new to, high maintainance barely active members, and much more, I have been swamped with things to do. It has been insane! My very first day of the transfer in the Ashton park ward, a person they were teaching called and says she wants to be baptized! LETS GO THAT IS HYPE...however, this has caused so many problems. She has lots of questions and does not want to follow the commandments in the word of wisdom so we cant really baptized her yet. Since then, she has been looking into much anti about our church and wont stop sending it to us. It has been crazy!  Something funny, we went to a mental hospital to visit an inactive member. Go Chiefs!!!!

Well....This was a good week! The chiefs won the super bowl! I was super sad that I could not watch the game, but I am so happy either way. Everyone around me is 49ers fans so I'm the only one happy in my area. This week was not just happy feeling though, it was full of all sorts of feelings. I had to say good bye to all of my District and friends in the MTC. Super sad to say good bye but in the end, we are all where we are supposed to be.  When I arrived in Sacramento California, I was immedietly greated by my mission president and the zone leaders! They are all super awesome and Sacramento is amazing. But I do not get to experience it. I currently am typing in a cabbin. Me and my companion, Elder Bartholomew who is awesome!, got thrown into a area where they have not had missionaries in years! Its called George Town and its way up in the mountains. Shattered Windows

From Mason getting ready for Baptism, from Dominos Mix and Match pizza deals, to oreo coke slurpee's, to breaking our kitchen window with a flag pole, absoutlutely brazy week.
