Hot Dogs In The Rain
This was a absolutely hype week! I saw so many miracles and I saw so much Joy in the work this week. For all of you reading for my weight loss journey -(Kelsey)- I did not lose weight this week, in fact I gained weight because of my easter package so that was a L haha.
My favorite part of the week was exchanges. I got to do exchanges with my Zone Leader and it was so good. I had to lead out the area so he made me do most of the talking. This is a change for me because I'm used to letting my companion carry me and do most of the talking. We saw miracles! The first miracle was with our friend Marci. We met with her, shared a great message from Elder Uchtdorfs talk about joy, and then I invited her to be baptized. When I was studying that morning I felt like today was the day to invite her, but I was only going to if the spirit prompted me to in the lesson. She broght up baptism and had questions relating to it. I answered them and then asked her to prepare to be baptized. She said yes and is super excited to be baptized! Less gooo!
The next miracle that we saw was with Kaycee. She is the wife of an inactive member we are trying to reactivate. We had a great talk, had a lot of common interests, and I shared Mosiah 7:33 from the Book of Mormon with her. She really loved the verse and is a very God fearing person. We set up an appointment to come back for a lesson this week and she is super excited. We have been praying for a new person to teach and the Lord delivered.
The next miracle that we saw was with our friend Eboni. Last weekend we had a great lesson with her. It was so good that she committed to having two more lessons with us the next week. She then blocked our number out of no where...haha. We still showed up and shared a message even though she blocked us. She ended up in tears because we taught her the Plan of Salvation and her uncle just died. We set up to have 2 more lessons next week and she is really progressing. She has even downloaded the Book of Mormon on her kindle and is reading it a lot! Less go!
As far as random stuff, we met a guy who totally bashed on the church. He said that the devil has convinced us that our church is true and the miracles we have seen in our lives are lies from the devil...we have another appointment with him next week, we will see how that goes haha. Also, it has been pouring rain for the last couple days. Also, our owner/member we live with has been doing burn piles for days while its been raining. My zone leader and I had the idea to do companionship study in the rain and roast hot dogs with sticks over his burn pile. That was hype, low key one of the best hotdogs I have ever had.
To sum of the week, it was super awesome and full of fun and miracles. This week was a big growing week for me. For the first time on my mission, I felt like I was really a missoinary. I was able to teach with the spirit and lead out lesson and door knocks without having to stress. I know that the Holy Ghost and God is what made this week so successfull. This week I learned that if you lean on the Lord, and have complete confidence in him with zero doubts, he can make things that seem impossible..POSSIBLE! I know this to be true. The Lord will never leave us alone or forget us as long as we never forget him and to pray to him and follow him.
I love you all and I hope you all had a wonderful week! See yah next week!
Peace
Elder Rosie
