Taking Bikes To The Car Wash

Shellom,

Howdy y'all, this was a great week. Things are finally starting to move, we are starting to get a teaching pool, and building relationships with members! Sad news, transfers are next week and this could all end haha. This was officially the fastest transfer of the mission.

This week was a great week though, we saw some mircles. I will start with the biggest miracle, we started teaching Jay! We knocked on his door the other day, and had a on the spot lesson with him, and we have another lesson in a few days. He has committed to reading the Book of Mormon and said he is going to try and stump us in our lesson and write down good questions haha. We also just started teaching a kid named Neel who is Budist. We had a great street contact, helped him fix his power-washer for his detailing company, and gave him a Book of Mormon. This was a hype miracle.

Other miracles, Lucas and Miciah who we are teaching have been dodging us. We have spent a lot of wasted calories biking to there house 33 minutes for them to not be home or up to a lesson. So, we called them, and I baisically said, we dont want to waste our time or your time, do you want to be taught and live with your family for ever or not. (Something along those lines and a lot more chirst like haha), and they did not say to leave them alone! They are going to set up a lesson with us once they get a better idea of their schedule! Miracles!

Some fun things, I got to do back to back exchanges this week. It was so fun seeing miracles and craming whole pizzas down from dominos and little ceasars at lunch two days in a row. I got to do an exchange in a poor-er area of Sac and it was crazy how different it is. People are so humble and are open to hearing the gospel. I am so used to every house being gated and people being set in there ways, it was crazy how much easier it was to talk to people that are humble. We were able to start teaching a person just knocking on door and it was so fast and easy. I was so thrown off when he actually let us in his house and accepted our message haha.

Funny moment from the week. We had to get a car wash and our bikes were strapped to the back of the car we were in. So we had to take them off in order to go through obviously. Me and my comp walked over and saved a vaccum spot for the car. People were giving us strange looks for going to a vacuum stall with bikes. So I did what anyone would do, and made the situation worse. I started to vaccum my bike. The lady next to us, stopped, starred, her jaw dropped, and then completly ignored us. I tried to laugh it off so she would know I was joking, but she did not get the joke haha.

Other hype stuff, I had zone conference this week, I learnerd a lot. I also got to go to the Temple. To end the email, I will finish with this. The church is still true, the Book of Mormon is still true, just because your in a biking area that does not mean you'll lose weight, and the mission truly is the greatest place I can be right now. I love you all and have a great week!
