The Tortilla Burger

Konichiwa!

Howdy y'all, this was a absolutely fantastic week! So much happened and so many miracles happened. All of the hard work that me and my comps have been putting in for the last 7 weeks, all built up to this week!

The first miracle we saw was with a guy we met at the park, his name is Cameron. We set up lesson with him and had members ligned up to be there too. He canceled on us... I had the impression to bike the long way through the park and randomly stop and watch people play cricket for a bit. When we continued biking, we ran into cameraon again. We talked to him and set up a lesson for then next morning! So we get to the church for the lesson, and he forgot about the lesson. So, we rescheduled later that day! He ends up running late and gets a flat tire on his bike.........We were so pressed and this point. So I called him up and said, "I'll come fix it for you and we'll teach you while I fix it". So, we saved his life and spent over an hour fixing his tire in 95 degree weather and it went super good. He wants to learn more and we will be teaching him again shortly!

Also, we are now teaching our friend Kristen two times a week. She even came to church! This is the first church attendance for the Lakeside ward in literall years. They were so happy to see her. We also had dinner with her that night and taught he a lesson. We have more lessons with her this week! We also had another friend at church and her name is Rozita. She wants to learn more and wants to join the church!

Our friend Jay is progressing. We were able to have a lesson with him and answer his questions. Fun fact: His cousin is MC hammer. He called him up mid lesson, his body gaurd said he was taking a nap so we could not talk to him. He says he could get Hammer to church though. MC Hammer is going to join the CHURCH haha.

Sadest part of the week has been my cheffing ability. We have been like out of food lately. We did not shop last week because...we were playing basketball haha. So I have made some crazy meals this week. I made a hamburger, threw just about every spice we have in it, with vanilla extract, I dont know why, and also bbq sauce. Cooked it. Wrapped it in a tortilla shell, and called it a burger. That was a train wreck no cap no kizzo.

My trainee is an absolute dawg of an Elder. He is going to be AP one day. I just hope he remembers me. He can also sing and play the Ukulele super well. He plays and sings at lessons sometimes and the spirit is so strong. His plan is to perform after the mission, some of his relatives have already gone big and I get to listen to his family's gospel music every day so that is hype.

Overall, a good week. I know its not about the numbers, but the numbers are moving up. It's nice to see success after 6 weeks straight almost of little to no success! God is good and the church is still true. Have a good day y'all and may the force be with you!
