Hopping In The Shower Fully Clothed

Howdy Y'all

This was an amazing week in the mission field. We saw some super cool miracles and had a lot of fun. This week we asked our ward to pray for us all week that we would be able to find someone new to teach. We have felt like there is someone missing in our teaching pool. Well, we found 4 new people to teach this last week and they are all hype. 

The first was Charles, we stopped him on the street, he was working. We had a good conversation with him and he wants to learn more. When we offered him a Book of Mormon, he was like, "I already got one of those, it sits on my dashboard of my car and I read it from time to time". We were so confused. Some sister missionaries gave him one a long time ago and he never got rid of it. He is ELECT! The next person is Kalli, she is also elect. We met her while stopping in at an apartment clubhouse for A/C and water. She works the front desk area, she wants to go back to a church. She is super interested in our message and wants to meet with us again. Her friend who also works there, was baptized in our church when she was 16. She's been inactive in the church but she wants to come back too! LESS GOO! There were so many miracles throughout the week.

Something crazy, there is a lady that lives one door down from me named Gina that knows my buddy Travis Rea! Apparently she lived in his mission and he told her to find me when she moved to Sacramento. We had know clue until this week that I was the person she was supposed to find. She is an absolute dawg and is super funny. She's always taking us elders out to lunch and dropping off desserts and stuff and in return she makes us do service for her sometimes haha.

Me and my comp have some INSANE unity right now. All the elders and sisters in the zone are telling us all the time how we just feed off each other really well haha. I definitely have an amazing companion, hopefully we can go three transfers together at least. Me and my comp and the other Elders in the apartment made goals for the last three weeks of the transfer. I have to lose 9 pounds, my comp has to lose 8 lbs, and the other elders have their own physical goals as well haha. If you don't complete the goal in three weeks, you have to hop in the shower in full pross clothes (-shoes). I may have set too high of a goal haha. Since we made this goal, me and my comp have been given a whole pan of brownies, I personally have received 4 dozen cookies from members and family (thanks mom!), and other members have given us cake pops, toy story themed cupcakes and rice krispies, and so much more. Satan is testing us for real!

Overall, we have had a great week. My back is still sore, but getting better..ish. I can't play basketball on P-days because of it so there goes my only way to burn calories haha. So much other funny and random stuff has happened and lots of miracles happened as well. This mission life's going good and I'm definitely where I need to be. Shellom y'all, This has propbably been the most busy and chaiotic week of my mission yet. Between training a new elder, managing 20+ people being taught, 40+ potentials who could be taught, two wards I'm brand new to, high maintainance barely active members, and much more, I have been swamped with things to do. It has been insane! My very first day of the transfer in the Ashton park ward, a person they were teaching called and says she wants to be baptized! LETS GO THAT IS HYPE...however, this has caused so many problems. She has lots of questions and does not want to follow the commandments in the word of wisdom so we cant really baptized her yet. Since then, she has been looking into much anti about our church and wont stop sending it to us. It has been crazy!  Something funny, we went to a mental hospital to visit an inactive member. Go Chiefs!!!!

Well....This was a good week! The chiefs won the super bowl! I was super sad that I could not watch the game, but I am so happy either way. Everyone around me is 49ers fans so I'm the only one happy in my area. This week was not just happy feeling though, it was full of all sorts of feelings. I had to say good bye to all of my District and friends in the MTC. Super sad to say good bye but in the end, we are all where we are supposed to be.  When I arrived in Sacramento California, I was immedietly greated by my mission president and the zone leaders! They are all super awesome and Sacramento is amazing. But I do not get to experience it. I currently am typing in a cabbin. Me and my companion, Elder Bartholomew who is awesome!, got thrown into a area where they have not had missionaries in years! Its called George Town and its way up in the mountains. The members here are so excited that we are here and I have not had to worry about making dinner a single night. I live in the middle...

Shattered Windows

From Mason getting ready for Baptism, from Dominos Mix and Match pizza deals, to oreo coke slurpee's, to breaking our kitchen window with a flag pole, absoutlutely brazy week. Also, to back to back birthday parties, happy birthday mom and kariessa! Thanks to my Mom and my Sister Kariessa for letting me throw a lit party with the other Elders for y'all, the brownies were gas! This week we saw miracles with our friend Mason. He was able to come and watch a baptism with us. The baptism was all in spanish becasue its was the spanish elders baptism, but the spirit was still speaking clear english to us.
