David's Hot Chicken

What's poppin y'all,

Sorry for not sending emails as consistently, they take so much energy and time haha but I got time now less go!

This has been a hype week, lots of miracles are happening! Our friends are improving and we shoud see some baptisms here soon! Our friend David has been addicted to almost every thing you can be addicted too for the last 20 years. He is ready to make the changes in his life and he has been strong for a couple weeks now. We absolutley love teaching him and hanging with him. He is a dawg and is so funny. He is a homie, he always updates me on the Chiefs for me cuz we have lessons on Sundays haha. 

Our other friend Mason is AMAZING! Me and my comp got the chance to speak in both wards this Sunday. It was really cool, its crazy that it's hard to only give a talk in 15 minutes when before the mission I could only speak for 5 mins lol. Anyways, our friend mason pulled up to church and got to hear me and my comp spit bars and preach!! He came up to us after and said this: "I dont know if it was the Holy Ghost, but the entire room went silent the whole time, it was completely black, and it was like there was a spot light on you guys while you were speaking, all I could hear and see was you guys speaking"................when we heard him say this we were speachless. Were like, "YES!!! That was the spirit, you better go write that down in your journal". This is what he sent us:

I do intend to testify that I have bore witness to the spirit working amongst these fellow worshipers here on earth. As I sit in the spirit to hear their testimony of God‘s works within their lives I see the congregation fade as well as the background of the church to where all that I can see… in an essence of pure light. a fellow child of God, in a testimony to his works, and the act of faith in which we can receive through the acceptance of Christ Jesus as our Lord and savior. I do attest to seeing the light of God Shinedown As they spoke, dissolving all of the congregation as well as the backdrop of the church. As I am in the spirit, I see nothing but light shining upon the podium. As our speakers claim to preach on behalf of God, the lamb Jesus in which was sent down to suffer and be sacrificed in the name of our sins. to show us that the true path to heaven is not one that is of this world, but is only obtainable through faith in Jesus Christ.
In appearance, many can claim to speak on behalf of the one true God seated in heaven upon his throne. But it is through belief that these individuals can obtain the blessings and salvation. I do not know other than by the power of God. Verily I say unto you, I do not lean to my own understanding. I sat as my vision faded. I blink and open my eyes clearly, though my vision faded. I moved to get up from my seat, though my vision faded. For while missionary Olsen and missionary Rosenland spoke their true testaments unto god by the power of the Holy Spirit and their faith in Christ Jesus, I saw nothing, No figure no substance other than a block void. For all light shined upon those who spoke.

God is working miracles holy shmokes!! WHOOOO-WEEE! Less goo!

Other fun things this week, I am a cheff and a half. I had a great idea to throw food coloring in our rice this week, it was so yummy. Tasted like chemicals but it was worth it for real. Also, the chiefs won so that is hype. Also, me and my candadian friend/District leader bought american flags together this week. So glad to see a canadian fellow love this country as much as me. Also, WHAT'S UP WITH EVERYONE TRYING TO KILL MY BOY DONALD TRUMP! Hecka messed up. Someone is my area told me this week that she was sad "they missed"....bruh moment. Liberals these days need to read the Book of Mormon for real!

The worst part of the week, I had Daves Hot Chicken this week. Usually that is a good thing, but I ordered the spicy chicken sandwhich. I'm pretty sure that they gave me the spiciest one by accident because it destroyed me. I could not leave the apartment all day. My stomache was on fire the WHOLE DAY and I could not be out of sight of a toilet. Truly took a big L that day.

Longer email than usual, but that cuz it was a hype week. I know that God is behind all the miracles that I am seeing. He is watching out for me and for all of the people we are teaching. His hand is in our lives each day, we just gotta look for it and pay attention. I'm grateful to be on my mission and I look forward to the rest of it. I'll see yall in around 15 months.

Shellom y'all, This has propbably been the most busy and chaiotic week of my mission yet. Between training a new elder, managing 20+ people being taught, 40+ potentials who could be taught, two wards I'm brand new to, high maintainance barely active members, and much more, I have been swamped with things to do. It has been insane! My very first day of the transfer in the Ashton park ward, a person they were teaching called and says she wants to be baptized! LETS GO THAT IS HYPE...however, this has caused so many problems. She has lots of questions and does not want to follow the commandments in the word of wisdom so we cant really baptized her yet. Since then, she has been looking into much anti about our church and wont stop sending it to us. It has been crazy!  Something funny, we went to a mental hospital to visit an inactive member. Go Chiefs!!!!

Well....This was a good week! The chiefs won the super bowl! I was super sad that I could not watch the game, but I am so happy either way. Everyone around me is 49ers fans so I'm the only one happy in my area. This week was not just happy feeling though, it was full of all sorts of feelings. I had to say good bye to all of my District and friends in the MTC. Super sad to say good bye but in the end, we are all where we are supposed to be.  When I arrived in Sacramento California, I was immedietly greated by my mission president and the zone leaders! They are all super awesome and Sacramento is amazing. But I do not get to experience it. I currently am typing in a cabbin. Me and my companion, Elder Bartholomew who is awesome!, got thrown into a area where they have not had missionaries in years! Its called George Town and its way up in the mountains. The members here are so excited that we are here and I have not had to worry about making dinner a single night. I live in the middle...

From Mason getting ready for Baptism, from Dominos Mix and Match pizza deals, to oreo coke slurpee's, to breaking our kitchen window with a flag pole, absoutlutely brazy week. Also, to back to back birthday parties, happy birthday mom and kariessa! Thanks to my Mom and my Sister Kariessa for letting me throw a lit party with the other Elders for y'all, the brownies were gas! This week we saw miracles with our friend Mason. He was able to come and watch a baptism with us. The baptism was all in spanish becasue its was the spanish elders baptism, but the spirit was still speaking clear english to us.
