3-Peat Gone...
What is up everybody!
Here is the weekly email for y'all. Nothing crazy has happened, for the first time in the mission, I feel like things are under control, knock on wood. Some really good news, Thor got baptized. YUHH! It was a really cool baptism, a bunch of family members who are not members came and they loved it. It was a great experience for them! They got the spirit all up in them!
Other cool stuff, I got in a couple bashes these last couple weeks. But they have been really productive and we even started teaching one of them so that was really cool. We are seeing lots of miracles right now, both with members and powerful blessings and also just finding people to teach. It has been great!
Oh wow, I almost forgot, the Chiefs played like crap and lost. I guess we won't be seeing a 3 peat for at least 3 more seasons, L's. I am grateful that I am on a mission for this horrible loss, because my pain would have multiplied x10 if I was home. Tough night but the church is still true and Jesus would have probably been the greatest football player in history if it was a thing so I'll continue to focus on him right now.
We had zone conference this last week, and that was a baller day. I got to see a lot of missionaries that I love so much and miss, great times. OH, SUPER HYPE MIRACLE! We are teaching this dude named Kevin. He has word of wisdom problems, no problem, we are getting there. This has been his hold up for baptism, mainly because he is scared to give it up. We have been able to work with him and he is starting to quit life long habits/ addictions that have been controlling him. He wants to turn to God fully now! We have another friend in the same exact boat also progressing just like him. There testimonies of God and Jesus Christ are growing so much, its amazing to see.
I've had a lot of conversations recently about why bad things happen to good people. I know that when I recieve trials, as backwards as this may sound, that tells me that God loves me and wants me to grow. The only way to make a muscle stronger, is to tear it and put stress on it. I know that is the same for us. The only way for us to learn and grow and learn why we should chose God, is by facing trials that make us turn to him. I know that through Him we can find real joy, real peace, real comfort. I've seen it in my life and in the lives of the people I am teaching here in Sacramento. I love you all, thanks for reading, it means a lot! Pray for the chiefs, they need to get revenge next year.
Go Chiefs,
