Chicken Jockey
Hello everyone, shelom!
Welcome to the weekly email! Things have been going good, nothing to crazy happening. I am writing this while currently sick, this cold has spread to every single missionary in the Sacramento mission I swear, me and my comp have given 5 blessing this week, crazy! I'll catch you up on a couple W experiences that I've had recently.
W experience #1
I got to go to the temple with our friend Thor who we recently baptized. He is the happiest person in the whole world and so easy to please. I have never seen anyone happier to be in the temple for baptisms. Such a special experience. Also, out side the temple, the relief Society from my old Lakeside ward was out having a temple picnic so I went over and got to see old friends and grab a picture. W's.
W experience #2 (Chicken Jockey)
Wow, the world is literally nuts outside the mission. Our friend took us to Chick Fil A and showed us news clips from all the drama about the Minecraft movie. Funniest thing I have seen this year haha. Thats probably the first thing I'm gong to do when I get home, watch the Minecraft movie.
L experiences #1 & #2
While getting ready the other morning I sat down on my bed, and it just straight up broke. Not the boards, but the literal side rail of the bed snapped off, I was bedless for a few days forced to sleep on a mattress on the floor. It was hecka chill though, bed frames are overrated. Then this morning, my old trainee/son Elder Te'o, used our door to help him self stand up, and proceeded to rip the door out of the frame by accident. Not sure how he did it but I blame all these problems on tarrifs and the crappy products we by from China.
W experience #3
I had an Easter egg hunt. Hooray! It was a blast. I woke up Sunday morning feeling like crap but I was not going to let my sickness stop me form an Easter egg hunt. A family put together an Easter dinner for us and Easter egg hunt, it was a blast! Shout out to the goodfellow family, they are straight up Dawgs.
Spiritual Thought:
While listening to a talk by Elder Holland, he casually dropped a bar as per usual. He said, and I am going to butcher the quote, but he said that God must love him almost has much as he loves his son Jesus Christ, or at least he can say that he was willing to sacrafice his Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die for us. WOW. I know that God truly does love us. If we want to feel his love, it is accessible to anyone that wants it. We must put our selves in positions where he can touch us. Each time you take the sacrament, read scriptures, pray, serve, etc, you can and will feel the Love of God.
Thank you all for reading, I hope your all doing well, see you next week!
