Panini's, Liberals, And Miracles!!

Image
This week was an awesome week! I saw so many miracles happen. Definitely the most hype week of the mission so far.  To start off, I'll talk about the paninis. I ate paninis for lunch every single day this week. My companion has a panini maker, and we eat them daily. They're so good!  I also got to meet some liberals. I had dinner at a member's house, and they invited two non-members to dinner to eat with us. They were super nice, but I found out quickly how liberal they were. If you don't know this, I'm a very political person and outspoken about it. This mission is testing my patience and ability to keep my mouth shut. They were talking crap about my homeboy Donald Trump. They were also talking about how an embryo is not a human life form because you can freeze an embryo, but not a baby. Therefore, that justifies abortion. Craziest logic I've ever heard in my life. It took every muscle in my body to keep my mouth shut! Anyways, they're still God's child...

My New Dad

This week was an awesome week to be a missionary. I have learned so much and built so many relationships with missionaries in my zone and members in my ward. Regarding the subject line, there is a family in the ward named the Almendariz family. They are super awesome to us and feed us a lot. I found out that Brother Almendariz is the same age as my parents, so he took me in as his son, and I look up to him like my dad. The whole family is awesome!  Other great news: I got my first pair of cowboy boots. Kind of sad that I'm saying this because I live on a farm haha. Since we are in the countryside part of Cali, all the Elders wear cowboy boots. It's awesome, and they are handy when I do service. Also, it's been raining and lightning for the last few days, so they have come in clutch. Another funny thing: as a missionary, we can't use slang like bro, dude, man, guys, pal, brother, brotha, nizzle, and so much more. I struggle with all of these haha. Every time I say one of...

Go Chiefs!!!!

Well....This was a good week! The chiefs won the super bowl! I was super sad that I could not watch the game, but I am so happy either way. Everyone around me is 49ers fans so I'm the only one happy in my area. This week was not just happy feeling though, it was full of all sorts of feelings. I had to say good bye to all of my District and friends in the MTC. Super sad to say good bye but in the end, we are all where we are supposed to be.  When I arrived in Sacramento California, I was immedietly greated by my mission president and the zone leaders! They are all super awesome and Sacramento is amazing. But I do not get to experience it. I currently am typing in a cabbin. Me and my companion, Elder Bartholomew who is awesome!, got thrown into a area where they have not had missionaries in years! Its called George Town and its way up in the mountains. The members here are so excited that we are here and I have not had to worry about making dinner a single night. I live in the middle...

Tabernacle Choir: Duel Of Fates

Image
As you can see from the subject line, I had an awesome week. We found out that the tabernacle choir sings star wars songs. So you can probably guess that I have been listening to that on repeat since there is nothing else good to listen to haha. Overall, this was a good week at the MTC. I saw lots of miracles and felt the spirit so strong this week. I got to go to the temple 3 times this week and the temple has never been so amazing to me as it is right now. I got to give preisthood blessings this week and I know that they are from God! My district is awesome and we have so much fun. They are also super spiritual and I'm glad I get to here there testimony's every day. Side note, there are two canadians in my distric, sister Thompson and sister James. They have been teaching me everything there is to know abaout canada. By the end my mission, I will be fluent in canadian haha. They have taught me so many cool things. They taught me that McDonalds does not serve burgers in canada...
