Medieval Chicken Night

What's up, y'all!  Welcome back to another weekly email. This week was hype and lots of fun, with many miracles seen! I'll start with the miracles.  We've been teaching Eboni for a few weeks now, and we had a great lesson with her this week. A lady from our ward joined us at the last minute, and we taught Eboni the Restoration. The lesson went super well, and I taught with ease, despite feeling nervous. Eboni is excited to dive into the Book of Mormon and even gave a beautiful prayer, asking to find truth and direction. The member gave some amazing thoughts from her stance as a convert to the church. Thos comments made a huge difference in the lesson. Had she not been there, the lesson would not have turned out as good as it did. Next, we have Don, a man we've only communicated with via text and phone calls while he's been in Cabo. We invited him to church over the phone, and he showed up on Sunday! Insane! We had a great conversation and are building a strong r...

My Weight Loss Program

Howdy y'all! Welcome to my weekly email! This was a great week again in the Sacramento California mission! However, we didn't get much done... To start, I am no longer sick. But my companion got sick - big time! We spent the whole week in our cabin taking naps because he was feeling terrible. Once he finally started feeling better, he had completely lost his voice! But we were determined to go out anyway. On Friday, when we went out, I did all the talking the whole day because my companion literally couldn't talk. It was a crazy day, but I grew a lot, that's for sure. It wasn't until just last Saturday that we were finally able to go out full-time, both feeling well and able to talk to people. Luckily, as soon as we went out, we saw miracles! On Sunday, we met some really cool people. We met a guy named Brandon. We knocked on his door to find out that the inactive member who lived there had moved. Brandon is going through a lot right now. He told us that he had been...

Too Broke For Meds

Howdy y'all!   Welcome back to my weekly email. This was another great week to be a missionary! So much cool stuff and miracles happened this week.  I'll get the worst part out of the way first - I've been sick all weekend. After church on Sunday, I had to take a nap and rest because I was super sick. On Monday, we weren't able to go out at all because I was so sick. It's going around, as we know many people we've visited who are also sick. Also, I'm out of money for the week, so I havent been able to aford medicine so thats an L (haha). No worries though, I made it this far so I'm good lol. Other than this, the week has been awesome. We got a boy named Juaquin on date to be baptized on April 7th, so that's hype. We also had a miracle with someone we're teaching named Eboni. She's been sick for a week and couldn't go to church or have lessons this week. She's also been missing our calls and texts, which was worrisome. We asked some pe...

BLIZZARD WARNING!

Image
This was another great week in the mission, nothing to exciting happened but still a great week regardles. I would say the highlight would be that we got to teach a woman named Eboni for the first time this week. She came to church and absolutely loved it. She made so many friends and wants to come back. We got to give a lesson to her about the Atonement. It was really good and we think the lesson hit home! As far as the blizzard warning goes, thats for real. Last Wednesday was 70 degrees outside. The next day it was low 30s and snowing. We were supposed to get 3-8 feet of snow that weekend but sadly only got few inches that melted really fast. I got some really cool pictures that I will put below as well! But, for the last 6 days it has been non stop raining. I have never seen so much rain! I also got in my first Bible bash. My companion carried me though, without him I would have struggled. It ended good though and he wants us to come back again to talk so thats good news. Shorter em...
